My photography is based in a documentary approach with an editorial twist. I want to give you enough direction you aren’t wondering what to do, but vague enough that you are captured for who you genuinely are. The key to this is getting to know you, what type of personality you are, and how you feel about one another. I prefer to play off your vibe (think: romantic, playful, elegant, or silly) to create images together that reflect your soul and your truth.

You can plan an entire day or session down to the minute, but if you aren’t able to let go and trust that things will work out - it’s going to reflect poorly in your photos. If you feel stressed very likely you’ll look stressed on camera. I’VE GOT YOU. We will plan together and I will take time on the front end to understand what is MOST IMPORTANT to you and why. If things aren’t perfect, if there’s a rain cloud overhead, if you get a flat tire on the way, we will figure it out. I’m a very laid back person and I want you to feel trust and ease in working with me. I want to know your love language, your taco bell order, and other silly things about you and create friendship and understanding of who you are. I’m here for you to help plan and make your wedding day photos as stress-free as possible.

My prices reflect my experience level of shooting over 100 weddings over the last 89years. By investing in my work you not only see the value in the experience I have but you also resonate with the style of photography, editing language, and overall feeling you get when you see my work. -
I want you to know that I’m here to help you and guide you through the process of planning. I have resources that are designed to answer tons of questions that you might have as you are planning a wedding, planning and outfit, or picking out a mountaintop to elope on. If you don’t find the answer endlessly scrolling through the information cave that is the internet I’m happy to talk through it with you and give you advice.
Step 1: Inquire
Fill out my contact form. Be sure to share a bit about you and what your dream wedding or photoshoot looks like. I’ll respond within a day or so and let you know if I have availability on your date. We set up a call, talk through details, pricing, and get to know one another.
Step 2: Connect
Connection is so important in my work. When we initially discuss on our consultation call I want to hear all the details about who you are as a person, what you are excited about, and making sure that we mesh well personally.
Step 4: Document
The day is here! All the planning we have done together is complete. We make magic together and capture your story as it happens - rain or shine. Since we have already been in close touch leading up to this day we already feel like old friends so you can feel at ease in front of the camera.
Step 3: Plan
After we decide we are a perfect fit, you book with a contract signature and a deposit. Then you are booked for that date. Throughout planning, I will send you resources to help you plan and get to know each other. I’m here for you all the way and communication is key!

I am currently located in Denver, Colorado but will travel anywhere for your love.
I have photographed weddings all across Colorado and the United States including Ohio, Georgia, Pennsylvania and beyond.Additionally, I have travelled to over 30 countries and have separate pricing for destination weddings if you want to get married internationally. Technically Madeline J Studios photo owns the copyright to the images so you cannot sell, alter, or edit them yourself. However you will receive a release in your contract allowing you permission for personal release to print your imagery at your lab of choice and share digitally with your friends and family members.

Every wedding and photoshoot is different. I average about 50+ edited photographs per hour solo, or 75+ edited images per hour with a second photographer. This quantity of images is based upon final edited imagery that you will receive, not total count that I actually snap.
You will receive all images taken with the exception of duplicates, flash misfires, people blinking, test shots, double chins, or unwanted goofy faces. -
For portraits and engagement photos you will receive your gallery within 2-4 weeks.
For weddings you can expect your images back within 6-8 weeks.The images will be uploaded with no watermarks or logos to an online gallery you can view, share, and download directly from with your friends and family.

I do not deliver unedited imagery. If you decide to hire a photographer it is because you are attracted to their style of photography which reflects the shooting and the editing of imagery. What you receive in your gallery will reflect that style you have hired me to produce and create with you!

Yes I do carry business insurance. I am happy to coordinate with your venue on what certificates they need from me if they require vendors to have proof of insurance.

I can accept credit card payments through my secure booking site (get those points, bb!), but am happy to accept cash or check as well.

Should the worst happen, I keep multiple backups of your photos to ensure that nothing will be lost. Every image is recorded to two SD cards day of, and all images are backed up the night of your shoot to three locations including a cloud based one.
