Urban Denver Wedding at Moss Denver | Kylie + Spencer

Kylie + Spencer’s wedding day was so much FUN! A day of kisses, a few ass grabs, taking shots with the most lively wedding party, and SO much love.

Kylie chose to get ready with her girls and her mom in her apartment and she said it was absolutely the best decision for her. She mentioned how it took away some of the initial stress of the day and made it a super relaxing morning. A tip for any bride is that you can always get ready at home! Have your hair and makeup artist come to your apartment and take some of the stress of being at the venue early out of the day. You won’t have to gather everything you need to get to the wedding - you can just get dressed there and then ship off to your venue with your dresses on and a change of shoes for dancing later in the night!

After getting ready, we chose to do the Kylie + Spencer’s first look in front of this gorgeous wood and moss wall that is known as a signature spot at the venue. Kylie was wearing such a beautiful long veil, I was obsessed!

They had such a beautiful ceremony complete with personal vows and funny anecdotes. The space had cascading florals hanging down from the ceiling complete with a green wall behind them done by Project Floral! They are both avid sports fans and highly competitive people so it made for some hilarious commentary throughout their ceremony. I thought it was so sweet when they signed the marriage license, you could really see how much that moment meant to them! Right after Kylie signed she looked up and Spencer and she had the sweetest twinkle in her eye. It was such a beautiful moment to capture for them.

A fun fact of the day, they made a compromise where Spencer could have a mullet but it had to be his natural hair color! In their engagement photos, the mullet was blonde so if it was staying for the wedding it HAD to be natural! As you can see, the hair made it back to it’s natural color for the wedding day 😂😉

Moss Denver is in the heart of the art district in Denver. It is such a great venue for the winter because there are so many amazing indoor spots for portraits. We stumbled upon a room with a gorgeous chandelier and there was golden light spilling into the room at the time, I made everyone stop what we were doing so we could get some photos before the light changed!

The venue has a chic, urban vibe with some grungy city elements like exposed brick and steel beams. Perfect for any couple looking for an indoor venue with that classic Denver architecture.

Also, can we talk about Kylie’s badass heels?! She mentioned she wore them at her bachelorette party which is so much fun! Someone mysteriously shipped her pads for the bottom of her shoes so she could have better traction on her big day. Jury is still out for whoever made the traction pads show up to her house.

For the reception, they had a bet going with the wedding party that whoever had the best entrance got a cash prize. There were so many hilarious entrances, one of the couples had switched outfits, another had a proposal with a bud light seltzer, they just made the whole night so much fun. Spencer and Kylie have such a supportive group of friends that made sure they were having fun the entire day! The wedding day ended with everyone dancing under some gorgeous twinkle lights, celebrating Kylie + Spencer!
